10 Week Dental Assistant Training Program

     Program Information:    
  • Cost: $2495.00 (all- inclusive)
  • 10 week course
  • Tuesday and Thursday Evenings (6:00pm - 10:00 pm)   or
  • Saturdays  (8:30am - 4:30 pm)       
  • Note:All classes consist of a blended format with an online study module and a clinical portion in our facility.                    

Program Objective:

To prepare any professional self-starter for an entry level position in the dental field where they can further utilize their training upon graduation.

Program Description:

The dental assistant program runs for 10 consecutive weeks Tuesday and Thursday evenings or 10 consecutive Saturdays. The Program includes a book study format, online testing along with a large portion of the course being actual hands on training. After the training course, each student will be required to do a 40 hour practicum in local dental offices. After completion of the 10 weeks and 40 hour practicum the student  must complete  200 hours (a minimum of 3 months) on the job training by a Florida licensed dentist to receive your Florida Certifications. The 3 month minimum on the job training can be done either by internship or as a paid position.

After completing the program and receiving formal training by a Florida licensed dentist, the student will be eligible (at no additional cost)for the X-ray and EFDA State of Florida Certifications.  The student will also receive a 2 year American Heart Association CPR certification in the program.

Our courses are Certified by the Florida Board of Dentistry. Our training is designed to promote the basic, entry level dental assisting skills. After completing this training program, you can begin a career in the dental field. Our training program focuses on the dental assisting skills and procedures you will utilize on a daily basis.

AFTER COMPLETION OF THE PROGRAM, 200 hours (a 3 month minimum) of on the job training must be completed as an internship or an entry level dental assisting position in order for students to receive their 2 Florida Dental Assisting Certifications; Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Certification and Dental Radiography Certification (included in the cost of the program).



DAI requires verification of a high school diploma, GED prior to attending or possesses a certification in the medical field(CNA, LPN) are eligible for admission. A high school student may attend the program with parent or guardian permission and a copy of current high school transcripts. All applicants must have a professional appearance and wear an all black medical scrub uniform with a black lab coat to class (purchased on their own ) and the books for the class (see list below).
