EFDA Certification Course
Our dental assistant certification programs have been certified by the Florida Board of Dentistry since 2000. This course provides a Dental EFDA Certification in just one day.
Program Objective
This course is to certify a dental assistant in the radiographic procedures as prescribed by the Florida Board of Dentistry.
Admissions/Prerequisites
Students in the EFDA class must have been formally trained by a licensed dentist for a minimum of three months.
What to Expect From This Program
This course has a blended format with an online study module and quiz as well as a clinical portion in our facility. Once you register and pay for a class, you will receive an email confirmation and will have access to an online student portal to view/download class study materials, complete your employment verification and take the online multiple-choice test PRIOR to coming in for the clinical portion of the class.
What is Needed for Class?
Students attending must bring with them to the class: a 4 hole motor (slow-speed) & straight attachment, acrylic bur, safety glasses, mask, and a basic set-up (mirror, explorer, air/water tip). These instruments are not provided but may be rented for $50. The instrument rental fee must be paid prior to class.
Program Length
This is a one day hybrid course with both an online and in-person clinical portion.
